Chile – South America
WELCOME TO SUMMER SKIING!
Chile is the gateway to perfect snow in the southern hemisphere and offers some of the best skiing that our “summer” months have to offer anywhere in the world. El Colorado, La Parva & Valle Nevado boast an annual snowfall of between 20 and 30 feet, and huge dumps of snow are a regular occurrence. With over 2,500 feet of vertical, this mountain resort is one of the largest ski areas south of the equator.

Accomodation
There is an abundance of terrain where the skiing is spread over these three resorts. These ski areas are conveniently located just over an hours’ drive from the Santiago airport, so your time is spent skiing, not traveling! With easy access to endless amounts of open bowls, the off-piste options resemble a powder paradise. In fact, the above tree line skiing on these mountains are blanketed with light, dry snow and can hold powder for weeks after a storm. Because of the orientation of the resort located on the southeast slopes of the Andes Mountains and it’s altitude of over 3,000 meters, the snow is conserved perfectly. In fact, because of the quality of snow and easy access from Santiago, many National Ski Teams choose this area as their choice destination for off-season training!
Chile is known for its variety of terrain and easy access to different areas of the mountain. The terrain is categorized as 14% beginner, 30% intermediate, 42% advanced and 14% expert – now that’s a lot to choose from! Well known for its great weather (80% of the days are sunny throughout the season) and top-notch grooming, this area has something for everyone.
